A Sermon Extract By Bishop Isaiah Mbuga
One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life. Psalm 27:4
Your life is your time and your time can make you money.
God is more interested in your devotion than in your money because your devotion will lead you to put your hands in your pocket.
Have you ever gone out for tea or dinner with someone and they are on their toy called a phone? What would be your complaint?
“You did not give me time!”
“But I sat with you and we ate the fish.”
It was not the food you wanted; it was the time, but sadly this person was too into their machine. Their body was present with you but their mind was far away.
Likewise, God is interested in your devotion, not your money. So don’t tell God what you can do for Him; be with Him. That is more important.
Excerpt from sermon: ‘Accountability’ – Bishop Isaiah Mbuga, August 2013
Dear Lord Jesus, You have my devotion. I choose You today. Though I am surrounded with many things which can easily distract me, Your grace has never failed me. I turn my eyes upon You. Amen.
